| Web Designers is a UK-based Internet
presence design consultancy which was founded in February 1998. We specialise
in designing, hosting and maintaining web sites for construction industry companies, legal
practices and SMEs (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises). We have a base of technical
consultants who can design pages for Clients wanting simple, brochure-quality internet
advertising or for Clients wanting to showcase their products, services or goods for
electronic business transactions using leading-edge technology and features. Some of
our consultants have first-hand experience in the construction industry and its legal
aspects - this enables them to understand the nature of the Client's business and avoid
the pitfalls to which a lack of such understanding can often lead.
Our design philosophy is that whilst a site with all the 'bells and whistles' can be
visually and aurally stimulating, in practice such sites tend to be a victory of form over
function and hence the fundamental requirement of your web site - to 'sell' the Company to
your Clients and Customers - can fail to be realised. Similarly, visitors to a site
can be put off if the pages take a long time to load because of the features. That is not
to say, of course, that we will not design such a site for you if that is what you want!
But please bear in mind that some of the most technically advanced software and
hardware companies in the world have some of the most 'simple' web sites for the very
